Major Events
The night of Petit St Jean,
every June 23, at nightfall, since 1504, Valréas has celebrated the Petit Saint-Jean. A 5-year-old boy symbolizing little Saint John the Baptist, king for a year, is crowned with great pomp before leading a procession of some 400 characters in period costumes.
Lavender Parade
The first weekend of August, we celebrate lavender in Valréas. Flower parade: parade of floats, brass band, folk groups, cheerleaders, for 5 days. Also wine tasting and funfair.
